Certification Areas
Texas teacher certifications may be earned through the UT Dallas Teacher Development Center (TDC). It is required for all EC-6 and 4-8 certifications to pass their English as Second Language (ESL) Supplemental Certification. We strongly encourage all 7-12 certifications to take the ESL Supplemental Certification because several of the area school districts are requiring the certification prior to hiring a new teacher.
