This certification requires students to complete their degree plan as prescribed by their major as well as the course work listed below. The certification sought must match the student’s academic major.

- 3 hours of fine arts

- ED 3380: C&I (Curriculum & Instruction) English
- ED 4372: Educational Technology
- ED 4361: Classroom Management

- LIT 2350: Close Reading
- LIT 3300: The Western Literary Tradition
- LIT 3339: Writing in Literary Studies
- AMS 4300: Oral & Written Communication
- 12 hours of Literature, Creative Writing and/or Rhetoric
- Choose Two of the Following:
- LIT 2320: Survey A: Literature in English
- LIT 2321: Survey B: Literature in Translation
- LIT 2322: Survey of African American Literature
- LIT 23312: Introduction to World Literature
All education courses are RESTRICTED. You must be admitted into the TDC before registering for education courses. Students submit a registration form to the TDC and we will register the student.
