TDC Program: Undergraduate Student (Interdisciplinary Studies)

Hometown: Dallas, Texas

Deciding to Teach: Second grade is my desired grade level.

My TDC Success: Have been given the privilege to be a TDC Ambassador.

Plans for the Future: After I graduate from UTD, I plan to go teach at either RISD or GISD. I am excited to see what my future holds as a teacher. I hope to get involved at the district that I will end up working with and help meet the needs of the students.

Advice to Prospective TDC Students: Don’t rush your education experience. Take in all that you are learning now and enjoy the process of learning how to become the best teacher you can be. Don’t be afraid to build relationships with your professors because in the long run it really helps in your field experience semester. Have fun and don’t get overwhelmed. There are people who want to help you succeed so don’t be afraid to ask for help. You are capable of being the best teacher, it just takes time so don’t be discouraged.
