Deciding to Teach: I realized that teaching was my passion when I was working as a calculus tutor. It gave me joy to help people understand something new.
My TDC Success: I think the best way to succeed in this program is to do your best! Professors can tell when you care, and if you put in the work and the dedication it will pay off.
Plans for the Future: I would like to teach in a supportive school district and eventually receive my masters in education once I have received some teaching experience.
Advice to Prospective TDC Students: The best advice I can offer to future TDC students is to network. Creating strong friendships and relationships not only helps you with your classes, but your classmates might be the ones who can put in a good word for you at a job after graduation. You see a lot of familiar faces in this program, so it is easy to get a conversation started!
